bought this with a canner and other items without knowing it is readily availabe at most stores that sell jars and lids.. diffrence is most stores sell it for $6.95 not $15.00 here.. felt like i was delt a "movie theatre popcorn" markup...never again

This kit is a reasonable alternative to buying these much needed tools for canning individually. It seemed to me to be a "smart" buy since I needed all of them before I get started with my exciting new project of canning fresh fruits and vegetables this summer.
