Love this litter box. I had to buy the reset device due to the cost of the wash solution. BUY THE RESET DEVICE!!!!!!! It is worth the money!!! You can refill with Simple Green cleaning solution.
The litterbox itself does need periodic maintenance but a BRILLIANT ides. I NEVER touch POO!!!! Make sure you buy the Biodegradable granuales if you have a septic system!!!

No more dust, lasts for a long time before it needs to topped off, no more smelly, the Geni is truly a modern miracle. I have had mine for over 2 years, and I wouldn't owen a cat with out it.I have had it on Automatic and for the last 2 plus years,without may problems. The staff will walk you through any problem you might ever have. They are also American People, so you can understand everything they say.

the granules work perfectly in the CatGenie but do track around the house. I have the Paw Path and the Sage King litter mat (the 2 best litter catching mats you can get) and there is still some tracking. The pellets are hard when you step on them and must get way up into kitty's feet when using the box. This has NO dust- which is great. They seem like really hard plastic though and I never see one looking biodegraded at all (I have been using my Genie for about 7 months). I am not sure how they say they are environmental.
The best low track/low dust litter I've found is World's Best Cat Litter.
