My husband and I are now retired and not in the best of health anymore. BUT, we still love cats! This automated system has eliminated time on our knees, extra trips to the exterior garbage can and many, many times of bending over. Our breathing problems from the dust of regular litter have gone away. We think this would be a great gift for senior either to his or her self or for our children to gift. We just love it!!!!!

First, Amazon's customer service is tops!! I just wanted to tell those that are considering buying the CatGenie, that if you have asthma or strong perfume odors bother you..... LIKE ME! Then you need to order the unscented SaniSolution SmartCartridge. We have and that took care of the only problem we have had with the cat genie! We bought it in March and hooked it up in the laundry room & it works great. If you hook it up in the laundry room then you don't have to bother with flushing the toliet after you run it. I would recommend the CatGenie to amyone! It is so much more sanitary than the litterbox or the other automatic type & I have had both with multiple cats using them. The CatGenie beats them hands down!

We are very pleased with our Cat Genie. Overall it has performed as expected. We have two cats and they have adjusted very well and have used it without any problems. The only problem we had was that the cartridge stopped dispensing the disinfectant. We called customer service and they promptly sent another processing unit along with postage paid label to return the one that quit working.Once you start using it, you will be glad you spent the money. No more dust from kitty litter and the smell is greatly reduced. We have ours set up for twice a day cleaning, which seems to work for our two cats.

I like the scented version. It works great - my only complaint is the fact that they can't be refilled. And since you can't buy this stuff locally (and your genie wont work without it) you have to have this on hand at all times.
I REALLY wish you could refill it!
