the sweeper works great i have 2 cats and 2 dogs.It saves alot of time it just fills FAST so i figured out all you need to do is use the skinny hose attachment every vacuum has and stick it between the rollers and like magic its a new sweeper again saves lots of money and takes 2 seconds and chances are if you have pets you need to vacuum every couple days anyway hopes this helps.SC Johnson Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair

Ever since I adopted my dog two years ago I've been looking for something, anything, that would remove the pet hair from my couch. I bought a vacuum that was supposed to be designed to remove pet hair, which worked okay. It got rid of about half the fur embedded in the upholstery. I heard from a friend that this worked well for her so I went out and bought one for myself (only $4.00 with a coupon!). I expected it not to work, but crossed my fingers and hoped it would anyway, and lo and behold, it did! I would recommend this product to anyone with any type of pet. Like the other reviewers, I wish there was one I could by that wasn't disposable and flimsy, but it still works far better than anything else I've tried. I hope someone will read this review and buy this instead of spending money on an expensive vacuum.

Long story short, I agree with most of the other reviewers. It works GREAT but shame on SC Johnson for not designing the product to be reused. There are a couple of easy ways to make the product reusable (find those instructions in other reviews). This is a 5 star product when it comes to removing pet hair.

The Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair effortlessly lifted Welsh Corgi and Maine Coon fur, but was full after only a few sweeps. I would have given it 5 stars if it were truly "long lasting," "self cleaning," and "multi-use," as described on the carton. I would have given it only 1 star if I hadn't ignored SC Johnson's warning "Do Not Try to Empty or Disassemble Disposable Sweeper" and cut a U on the plastic backing to remove the fur. Just a few modifications would have made this a terrific product. Unfortunately, the SC Johnson company seems more interested in polluting the planet by selling lots of sweepers than coming up with a product that lasts.

As many other people have said, the main problem with this product is that it is disposable. For how much you are expected to spend on this, I believe it should be a little more "re-use" friendly. Some reviews have offered clever ways to empty the lint/pet hair to be able to reuse the sweeper, but I think SC Johnson/Glade should have thought of this and allowed for easier access.
That being said, I still don't think this product works as well as I had hoped. The handling of it is a little awkward, and I found myself running it over and over on a spot, and still seeing cat hair stuck to the couch. I would recommend staying with other tried and true methods until Glad improves this product.
