Have used two of these for over three years. Still working great. As other reviewers have said, don't count on this as your only defense. I also found that plugging them in in late spring and leaving them on all summer into the fall works best as a preventive approach. I'm using 4-Watt (nightlight) bulbs, and replace the sticky paper once per season. I had a small house (700 sq ft) and thick carpeting and used two. Even with 3 cats and a large dog I would stay flea-free for the entire season. Now I moved to a house twice the size, I just ordered two more: one by the litter boxes, one in the bedroom, and two in the living room and dining room. No chemicals, no nasty smells, just dead fleas. Recommend.

I bought this trap with another Ultimate Flea Trap at the same time. However, the Ultimate Flea Trap catch almost 20 fleas while this trap didn't catch anything.

I have had this in an area that has fleas as they jump on both my dog and me. This trap has been placed in this area for 4 days now and has not trapped a single flea.
It seems to be able to trap about anything else except what it is supposed to do. In one word it is......USELESS.

I almost never leave reviews but This trap works great!!! I have used those chemical bombs in my basement many times in the past few week, hardly killed any fleas. I used 2 different brands at twice the dosage. I removed all animals from this location and used sprays, carpet powders, mopping, vacuuming.... everything!
I didn't think a light was going to attract fleas, but it sure does. Just placed this trap an hour ago, got 20 fleas from one place!!! I am ordering more for better coverage, at this rate the fleas won't stand a chance!
Bottom line buy this first, and save $$$. You still will need to treat your pet, but this should really help with those around the house. I literally spent a hundred dollars on products that did nothing.

the trap does collect fleas over time but not enough of them to make any difference compared to a severity of infestation in your house. looks like only some of few fleas choose to jump into the trap, the majority of the rest hide and breed in other spots and stay on your pets.
so there is no purpose of buying it if it doesn't help with much result
