I have used this shampoo for many years on my 9 yr old golden. He had allergy and immune problems and for many months the vets were using different medications to try to fix the problem.Finally a vet put him on an antibiotic daily and instructed me to use this shampoo once a week. Within weeks I seen a difference. His hair grew back in and the dark scabby patches went away. There is no doubt this shampoo is what helped him the most. The shampoo soothes his skin and keeps his coat clean and soft. If using this shampoo, you must follow directions and leave the shampoo on to soak for atleast 10 minutes, before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. be careful not to let the shampoo get in your pets eyes. I was buying this from the vet, but found it quite a bit cheaper on line.

A vet recommended this shampoo because my old girl had a yeast infection. The shampoo is more expensive through the vet so we got it here. Worked great. I wouldn't use it unless advised by someone with knowledge about your puppy's condition.

The Malaseb shampoo did work. I was fostering a smelly 6 yr old chihuahua who smelled like dirty socks and left that smell on anything he slept on - but he was cute. This shampoo was supposed to be used 2-3 x a wk to keep the smell under control (smell was supposedly due to a fungus sort of issue, or that was what i dedeuced aft reading about various reasons for the smell, online) I shampooed him up, wrapped him in a towel and sat w/him for the 10 min period and then rinsed & used fresh clean towel to dry him off. I didnt do it very often but i could tell the smell was much better and lasted for a few days. I recommend the shampoo and this price was a really good deal - i looked all over and this was a few dollars cheaper and the shipping expense not that high. All reviews on this product from others were positive, so i decided to get it. Worth it!

This shampoo works great on my Westie, who suffers from a skin sllergy. As soon as he gets a bath using this shampoo, all of his itches seem to go away -- and stay away -- for a good amount of time. So glad I found this product!

My 7 year old Springer Spaniel had a dermatitis (for 4 months) that would not respond to Clavamox (antibiotic) or any topical medication. Her back, tail, area around the eyes and ears was covered with small bumps that would erupt, scab over and NOT go away. I read about Malaseb on the internet and thought I would give it a try. After just 2 applications (and another antibiotic) there was noticable improvement.......I started the shampoo treatments BEFORE the antibiotic so I would know if any improvement was the result of the shampoo or the oral medication. It has no unpleasant odor and leaves the coat soft (but not shiny).
